Belt up. Sponsorship provided by Insurance Commission of WA
2016 will mark the 18th year of the partnership between the Insurance Commission of Western Australia (ICWA) and the West Australian Country Football League (WACFL).
WACFL provides a network of leagues for young men to play in structured competitions. Many of those who participate in our leagues fall into the high risk categories for road accidents. Therefore, safety on country roads continues to be a major issue and challenge for our country communities spread across the four corners of our state.
Funding provided to the WACFL from the Insurance Commission of WA has been used to assist with the management not only of the WACFL, but also our 25 affiliated leagues. This has helped Country Football improve our professionalism and the services we deliver and reduce the costs of participation from senior players all the way down to junior participants.Funding is also provided so that balls and sporting equipment is available for community sporting teams and carnivals across the State.
The purpose of this sponsorship is to
- Promote public awareness about the prevention of motor vehicle accidents
- Educate the community to sustain fewer and less serious injuries when involved in motor velhicle accidents, which leads to less and lower cost insurance claims being received. This helps keep CTP premiums affordable
- Provide support to grass roots level in the Western Australian community to sporting codes, clubs and competitions.
The sponsorship will continue to see the Belt up. message partnered side by side with the WACFL through the benefits and exposure created and will create exposure for the Belt up. and Road Safety messages across the entire State.
