WACFL's Healthy Clubs

Each WACFL Club should be operating at a Bronze Healthy Club level as a minimum standard. Club's are encourage to meet Silver or Gold levels based on their willingness to improve their clubs health. 

Remote Community Requirements

•Clubs must be working towards Incorporated Association status 
•Compulsory Positions include:- President, Team Manager, Coach (minimum Level 1 Senior Footy), First Aid Accreditation 
•Clubs must have an appropriate Travel Plan approved by the League
•Football Uniforms approved by the League (jumpers and shorts must have WACFL logos)
•Compulsory Attendance at League Meetings
•Players are unable to participate in training or Games under the influence of Alcohol/ Illegal Drugs
•Club must sign League Affiliation Document 
•Insurance (This is arranged through the WACFL's JLT Policy and invoiced through the League) 
•All players must be lodged on the Sports TG database prior to playing
•Player, Coaches and Volunteers must abide by the WACFL's Codes of Conduct and are subject to fines and penalties
•Abide by the WACFL's Duty of Care Policy (and subsequent documents) with regards to Player and Member Welfare.
 

Bronze Club/ Minimal Requirements

•Incorporated Association (Up to date Rules)
•Compulsory Positions include:- President, Secretary/Treasurer, Team Manager, Coach (minimum Level 1 Senior Footy), Accredited Sports Trainer
•Finance (start of year Budget, Regular Reporting, end of year Audit)
•Football Uniforms (jumpers and shorts with WACFL logos)
•Players unable to participate in training or Games under the influence of Alcohol/ Illegal Drugs
•Fox Sporting Pulse (Contacts, Member Registration, Match Day Team Sheet)
•Insurance (This is arranged through the WACFL's JLT Policy) 
•For Clubs selling alcohol, they must be compliant with State Liquor Licencing Requirements
•Player Codes of Conduct (WACFL Bylaws or Club Specific) 
•Abide by the WACFL's Duty of Care Policy (and subsequent documents) with regards to Player and Member Welfare.
All players have watched the dedicated player video's at wacfl.com.au/club-land/useful-videos before their first match
 
Silver ClubMinimal Requirements
 
•Bronze Healthy Club compliance
•Regular Committee Meetings (Agenda, Minutes, Corrospondence, Action Items etc.)
•Commercial Operations, Community, Juniors and Football Operations Board Portfolios including Position Descriptions (available through the WACFL website)
•Club Facebook Page & Website (Clubs have access to free websites through Sports TG and TeamAPP)
•Club Membership Program and Team Wear options (polos, caps, hoodies etc.)
•‘AFL Club Improvement Program
•Good relationship with the Local Shire and other sporting codes
•0.5x Years turnover surplus in savings at the end of the financial year
 
Gold Club/ Minimal Requirements
 
•Silver Healthy Club Compliance
•Club Strategic Plan
•Succession Planning of Key Volunteers
•Training for Volunteers
•Contract all paid players
•Online Payment of Club Membership Fees
•Great relationship with the Local Shire and other sporting Codes
•Volunteer Recognition Strategies
•1x Years Turnover surplus in savings at the end of the financial year
